BC Friday Tips #6 Hide Unusable Enum

Friday is here! Time for #BCFridayTips for #msdyn365bc developers.

Hide Unusable Options/Enums with ValuesAllowed

Enums can streamline the options field in Business Central. But there are times when you might want to restrict the choices available to users. Rather than displaying all options and generating an error when an unusable one is selected, why not hide the unusable ones?

Why?

โœ… Better User Experience: Users like it when they only see usable options.

โœ… Time Efficiency: Users save time and enjoy a more satisfying experience by eliminating confusion over unusable options.

So, if an option isnโ€™t usable, simply hide it.

Remember, minor changes can greatly improve user experience
